Lomax Driving Academy is an independent driving school founded by local driving instructor Rob Lomax. Based in the Chesterfield and Bolsover area, offering friendly, professional driving tuition to learners across the surrounding communities.

Rob started as a driving instructor in 2022 as part of a driving school group. In 2026, he decided to launch his very own driving school 'Lomax Driving Academy',  to provide a more personal learning experience.  Allowing you to learn with an instructor who takes the time to understand your confidence, previous experience and individual goals. Lessons are calm, structured and adapted to help you make steady progress without feeling rushed or judged.

We support complete beginners, nervous learners, drivers preparing for their practical test and qualified drivers looking to refresh their skills or gain motorway experience.

As a local, independent driving school, our reputation matters to us.

We pride ourselves on being reliable, approachable and genuinely invested in every learner’s progress. Our goal is not simply to help you pass your test, but to help you become a safe, confident and independent driver for life.
